  • Wednesday, 7th May 2025 - What kind deeds did I do today?

I sent £10 in naira to an in-law relative to wish him happy birthday for tomorrow. I bought a gift and card online for my relative who recently gave birth to a baby boy. I am visiting her with the gift and card this weekend to congratulate her on her new arrival. I look forward to meeting the new arrival. I bought some fruits to share with my housemates and I left them on the dining table in the living room for my housemates to help themselves and I offered the fruit to all my housemates too. Yum yum. I emptied the bins in the room into the kitchen bin. I emptied the recycling bin and kitchen bin into the big bins outside. I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant. I ate ruits. I took my multi-vitamins I transferred £20 to a friend's account for him to buy vegan food to cook tonight. Bon Appetit! Sweet friend ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I moved a moth who was not moving on the bath to the kitchen downstairs to munch on food as much as he likes. He flew off my hand once I entered the kitchen. I bet he is a hungry guy! My reflections on Buddha's teachings Buddha taught us not to harm any living beings. He included tiny animals like ladybirds, ants, cockroaches etc., big animals like elephants and kangaroos and human beings. So without harming anyone, we can help end killing by each day concentrating on not killing anyone. So we need to take it one day at a time. Focus on today and meditate on 'I am not going to kill anyone today'. Focus on this throughout the day. Focus also on not harming anyone. Lying to someone harms them so tell people the truth. Shouting at people harm them so don't shout at people. Don't do anything to people that will harm them by making them sad. Meditate on not harming anyone today. The moment a kind thought comes to you to do something kind to someone else, do the kind action to the other person. Don't hesitate to do it or let negative thoughts stop you from doing it. Always say yes to kind impulsive actions.

  • What is a friend?

Someone who cares about you and tries not to hurt your fragile feelings but tries to be kind to you even when believing that you have done something horrible to them in the past. A friend does not hang on to the past or future you but loves you now and accepts that you are real now and that you feel mental and physical pain and tries not to inflict mental or physical pain on you. In the present moment, a friend does not harm you and a friend is kind to you. Everyone you meet in the present moment can be a friend if you are kind to them and you don't harm them in the present moment. The past does not matter and the promises for the future does not matter. What matters is how you treat people and animals now. Treat everyone kindly and make everyone a friend.

  • Karma - good karma and bad karma and how to improve your karma (Monday, 5th May 2025)

Karmically, life picks on you when you harm any living being namely, humans and animals. Life creates mean characters to bully you that no one can see and who no one except you can hear. Whatever you do, don't kill or harm in any way a human or animal otherwise you will hear the negative cruel torturous voices of people you know created by life bullying you. You will feel invisible people trying to harm you too. You will have nightmares when you go to sleep. You will see humans and animals fizzle in and out of existence. You will feel sick. You will look ugly and people will be cold to you because of how awful you look. People will treat you unfairly and bully you in real life too. This is one of the realms of hell in Buddhism. To move karmically away from hell, do kind deeds. The more kind deeds you do, the more you are rewarded karmically by nice things happening to you. You will see a more beautiful world, your face and body will look more beautiful; you will feel more motivated to get up in the morning and to do kind deeds during the day, and you will have more to be grateful for e.g. having good possessions and having more people being nice to you. Say, you find you are limited by the kind deeds that you can do. For example, you have been stopped from feeding the pigeons, or you are locked up against your will or you can't get a paid job or voluntary job and all you want to do are kind deeds. Then think of how to be kind to anyone you see in your room or anywhere you go. The kinder you are to these people, the greater the improvement in karma for you. If you have killed someone, you are in hell on earth and after death you are reincarnated to live in hell maybe forever if you don't do enough kind deeds to get out of hell by being kind, loving, generous and wise instead of ignorant, hateful and greedy. Since humans and animals are all people, you have to be kind by showing loving-kindness to all living beings. Every time you are a Buddhist, you don't harm anyone or kill anyone. You are always kind when you are a Buddhist. Always think of nice kind people such as saints and Buddhas and you will be kind. This helps a lot when you are feeling angry. Anger leads to killing or killer thoughts so whenever you are angry with someone or some people, change your feelings to loving-kindness and think, 'I am a Buddhist' and you will instantly become nicer and lose your anger. Also read some blog posts in My Kind Deeds Blog for inspiration on how to be kind instead of angry. Animals are like human beings. Be kind to them and they love it.

I transferred £20 to a friend's account to help with paying the gas and electricity bills. I bought a Blackberry phone for my friend for his birthday.

I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I put on deodorant. I emptied the bins in the rooms into the kitchen bin. I had breakfast. I washed the dishes after breakfast. I bought some snacks and lunch. I had lunch. I emptied the recycling bin into the main recycling bin outside. I watered the flowers in the back garden and front garden. I cleaned the bathroom. I fed the pigeons today. I unblocked all my friends on WhatsApp. Friends are good. Anyone can be a friend. Reflecting on Buddha's Teachings Buddha taught us not to seek revenge on someone who has harmed us but to forgive the person regardless of how many times they have harmed us in the past. We must not deal out negative karma because karmic reactions are controlled by the universe rewarding or punishing us for the actions we did in the past not by us humans revenging past actions or rewarding past actions of others. So we just need to concentrate on being kind not on vengeance and punishment. For example, a positive karmic reaction to a good action in the past would be to be beautiful in the future, to attract a good job, to attract friendly friends, to attract a nice house to live in, to live in a nice attractive tidy comfortable house, to be healthy and to have fun enjoyable past times. The universe rewards us for good actions and the universe punishes us for bad actions.

I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I cleaned the bathroom. I oiled my body. I put on my deodorant. I emptied the bins in the rooms into the kitchen bin. I emptied the kitchen bin and the recycling bin into the big bins outside. I watered the flowers in the garden. I had brunch. I washed the plates after brunch. Reflections on Buddha's teachings The three poisons of Buddhism are ignorance, greed and hate. Ignorance is being delusional which is having a lack of knowledge or information and not understanding reality. Nothing lasts forever so an example of ignorance is expecting possessions, people, self and jobs to last forever and being disappointed when they don't last when nothing lasts forever. Another example of ignorance is assuming the worse storyline of what you believe happened in the past without any evidence. The cure to ignorance is wisdom. Wisdom is an intense awareness of reality. Wisdom is knowing the truth definitely without any doubt. So making assumptions about anything is not wise. Wisdom is understanding the true nature of reality, which includes the impermanence of all things and the absence of a permanent self. Greed is desire and attachment. Greed is having a craving or holding on to things, people and experiences or wanting more than you have instead of being satisfied with what you already have. Greed is a selfish intense desire for a thing such as wealth, power and food. The cure to greed is generosity. This is the action of giving and letting go of desire for/attachment to things, people and experiences. Hate is anger, resentment and aversion (a strong dislike) towards others or situations. This cure to hate is loving-kindness. Loving-kindness is practising compassion, empathy, tenderness, consideration and goodwill towards all beings. Bee kind and loving to others and thus unselfishly wish them happiness and you won't feel angry with them. So in a nutshell, Buddhism teaches us to not hold unto desires, be kind and loving and give generously to others. Nothing lasts forever so be kind and loving, generous and wise every day.

I took my multi-vitamins. I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I cleaned the bathroom. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant. I emptied the bins in the rooms into the kitchen bin. I emptied the kitchen bin and recycling bin into the bins outdoor. I watered the flowers in the gardens. I ate fruit. I went to Sunday Mass. I hoovered my room. I hoovered the middle and top floor. I had lunch (mains, drink and dessert). Reflections on Buddha's teachings Buddhism teaches to let go everything to end suffering. Don't hold on to anything including anger for pain inflicted by others. When you don't hold onto anger, you feel calm, peaceful and understanding of the reasons behind other people's actions and realise harmful actions were never out of cold-blooded cruelty and maliciousness but were out of not understanding what harm they are doing to you. Everyone is the same. What makes us look different is what we believe not who we are. If we have the right belief, we are beautiful and kind and do right actions and if we have the wrong belief, we are ugly and do wrong actions which appear unkind. No one is actually evil but belief varies from person to person. The right belief is that everyone is like you and everyone feels like you feel and you mustn't harm any living being in the present moment. This includes killing any living being. You are not evil so no one is evil. You can feel pain when pain is inflicted on you and so can everyone else feel pain when pain is inflicted on them. In the same way as you don't like criticism, nor does anyone else. You can inflict pain without being fully aware of the other person's suffering when you inflict the pain. This applies to everyone else. So you need to stop inflicting pain, criticism on others and yourself to be kind, beautiful and right. Treat others as if they were you regardless of what they are doing or did. When you hurt someone you hurt yourself because we are all from the same universal whole (body). If you hurt one of us, you hurt everyone because we are all the same body. We are all God, the eternal whole the includes everyone and doesn't leave anyone out of the whole and out of immortality. All humans of every colour, height and looks are all people and all deserve to live forever. If someone said to you, you don't deserve to live forever and that they will kill you and you can't defend yourself, it will hurt you lots. Likewise it hurts any human to be killed.

I took my multi-vitamin supplemens. I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I washed my hair. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant. I cleaned the bathroom. I emptied the bins in the rooms into the kitchen bin. I emptied the kitchen bin and recycling bin into the big bins outside. I put laundry in the washing machine to wash. I watered the flowers in the back garden and front garden. I hoovered my room. I took a big pot full of ingredients for a meal downstairs for my flat mate who finds it hard to climb up and down stairs. I had a fruit. I had lunch. I washed the dishes after lunch for me and a housemate. I put my laundry to dry in the dryer. I did some job searching and applied to seven jobs. I had supper. I washed the dishes after supper. I washed the dishes for a housemate who was cooking. I mopped the floor for a housemate who spilled some water on the floor. I had an evening snack after supper. Comments Since everything changes over time, I am not holding unto anything not even myself or other people. I will be kind to people when I interact with them but I am not holding unto them. Today I was kind to myself as well as to other people. That is kindness. When you realise that anyone you are near is a warm, kind, attractive, friendly and close human being at their core who have feelings like you have then you don't feel that anyone is a threat because no human being is actually a threat to you. All human beings change over time so don't hold on to any human being but be kind to every human being you interact with. Being kind is not harming any human being, not making any human being feel sad or depressed and making other human beings feel loved and happy. The same applies to the way you view and treat animals. No human being is bad, it is just that sometimes human beings do the wrong thing because they have the wrong view not because they are malicious and evil. Every one gets the wrong end of the stick once in a while and this affects how they treat others. If they think the other person is trying to harm them, they get defensive and afraid of the other person and they ignore the other person or block the other person or fight off the other person. But the other person was never trying to hurt them, they just had the wrong view or they were not thinking of doing anything wrong. If someone has the wrong view, be kind to the person. Don't threaten the person or hurt the person or get angry with the person. Just show love and kindness to the person with the wrong view and they will trust you again and have the right view. Remember every wrong action done by a person is the result of the person having the wrong view not as a result of them being evil. Try to have the right view by never accepting that anyone is evil no matter what they do whether they lie, steal, harm someone physically, yell at someone, call people degrading names, force you to take drugs or injections against your will, kill someone or rape someone. Our views affect our actions. Our views are what we strongly believe to be true and we act upon these beliefs whether they lead to wrong actions or right actions. Our views are very important. The view that everyone is good and no one is evil allows you to be kind to everyone because no one is a bad person out to only hurt others. A true Buddhist is nice to everyone because they don't agree that any one is evil.

  • Sunday, 27th April 2025 - What kind deeds did I do today that made others happy

I cleaned the bathroom. I emptied the bins and replaced the bin liners with new ones. I watered the gardens. I bought some chocolates from the supermarket and shared them with my housemates. I spoke to a friend on the phone today and sent him a text message. I replied to the text messages of another friend today and I am awaiting her response. I texted another friend who called me earlier when I was asleep. Comments Don't kill any person. Buddha taught us not the kill any living beings. Live life to the full. Enjoy your life. Do kind things that you love doing. Tell the truth and keep telling the truth about everything. Don't stop telling truth about everything. Even if the truth is not in line with what is the law, still tell the truth and if you do something right but the law says it is wrong to do it, still tell the truth and keep doing what is right. If the law tells you to do something wrong like take in a poisonous substance in the name of medicine that can harm your body which you don't want to take because you don't want the side effect of instant death or bodily or mental harm then tell the truth that you don't want to take it. If the law forces you to take it by restraining you and forcing the poisonous substance into your body by injection, refuse to take it and tell the truth that you don't want it. Never say yes to taking what you don't want to take or to doing what you don't want to do. Everyone loves hearing the truth. Buddha taught us to tell the truth. Don't harm anyone in any way. This includes not threatening anyone, not being cold to anyone and not yelling and calling people names. Buddha taught us not to harm any living beings.

I brushed my teeth with toothpaste so that my breath doesn't smell. I washed my face with soap so that my face is clean and nice to look at. I had a shower with vegan shower gel so that I don't smell. I washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner so that my hair looks clean and doesn't look dirty. I made my bed so that anyone entering my room sees a neat bed. I watered the flowers in the garden called hydrangeas. I cleaned the bathroom and washed the basin, bath, toilet, ledges, inside the cupboards with bathroom cleaner and the floor of the bathroom so that the bathroom is clean for others to use. I put on deodorant so that I don't smell. I emptied the bins including the recycling bin, kitchen bin, bathroom bins and bedroom bin so the bins can be refilled with new waste and don't overflow. Today the bin men come to empty the big wheelie recycling bin outside which is full and ready for collection today. I fed the pigeons, ducks and seagulls in the park oats today. I was happy to see the pigeons in the park today. I said good morning to my mum. I dressed smartly to work at Oxfam charity shop today. I prepared a vegetarian breakfast of oats cereal with water and sugar, two slices of wholemeal toast with buttermilk spread, a pear and a tangerine and I ate this so that I am well nourished and I don't starve and get ill and I can keep up with my daily commitments. Also a vegetarian breakfast does not harm any animals to create as there is no meat or fish in a vegetarian breakfast. So a vegetarian breakfast is kind to animals. I washed the dishes after breakfast so that others can use the clean dishes. I had a vegetarian meal of cauliflower, Brussel sprouts, broccoli and couscous for lunch to be healthy and to stay fit enough to work in my voluntary jobs and daily tasks including household tasks and feeding the pigeons. I washed the dishes after lunch so that others can use the clean dishes. I also washed the pots used for cooking for food. I volunteered at Oxfam Charity Shop today. I took the price tags off the clothes not sold and placed them on a pile for my colleague to put in the blue bags to be collected by recycling. I gambled today and made a profit of £71.07. Lady Luck was on my side. Kind thoughts Kindness is free. A kind action is an actions that is done to make another person feel happy for free. So it is helping someone else for free. Kind actions don't harm anyone. Kind actions include kind spoken words. Kind actions is treating humans kindly. Be kind to everyone and you are nice to everyone.

@ mykinddeedsblog.com Bee kind Everyone be friends with everyone and show kindness to everyone and accept all kindness from everyone. Try to create no money society where no one uses money and all goods, services and labour is 100% free. People matter more than money. So everyone matters. No one wants to use money and everyone wants everything for free. So let's be nice as humans and give everyone everything they want for free and let everyone help provide everything everyone wants for free. Don't attack anyone verbally or physically. Don't shout at anyone. Don't call anyone horrible hurtful names. Don't expect anyone to be clever. Instead allow people to really understand stuff if it makes sense at all and if it is not just speculation (speculation is guess work without evidence). Do not kill anyone. Do not kill others. Do not kill yourself. Do not kill humans. Do not kill anyone. Make sure that all the goods and services are provided for free (no prices for any of them) and they are all good products and services that don't harm anyone in the production or delivery of the product or service. Do not harm anyone to teach them anything. So don't lock up anyone to teach them anything. Everyone wants to work in a job that matters for free. For example people can work in a recycling store which can be a place where people collect free clothes or/and hand in free clothes they no longer want to wear anymore or because they want to wear different clothes now. The store can have changing rooms where people can try on clothes before they take them home to check if they fit them properly. With everyone working for free, no one needs a passport or a driver's licence or proof of address to work anywhere. Everyone gets everything they need for free. This includes nice comfortable, tidy spacious clear neat attractive accommodation, comfortable, quality attractive clean clothes and shoes and everything else they need for free. Everyone works for the happiness of everyone. Justice is not kindness. Kindness is higher than justice. It is forgiveness. It is understanding. It is love. It is mercy. It is politeness. It is friendliness. Kindness is higher and friendlier than justice. There is no punishment in kindness. Kind folk don't do things on purpose to harm anyone. There is no harshness in kindness. Kindness is soft and forgives infinite times. Kindness is really nice.

I made my bed. I cleaned the bathroom. I emptied the bins in the bathrooms and my room into the kitchen bin. Then I emptied the kitchen bin and recycling bin into the big wheelie bins outdoors. I had an avocado and small red apple as a snack in the morning. I had an egg for breakfast. I am a vegetarian. I am a Buddhist because the Buddhist Philosophy teaches us to be loving-kind which is to be: generous (always say yes to giving to others whether they ask or not) harmless (so don't hit anyone) nice and friendly. The kinder you are, the happier you are. This is karma. To be unhappy is to suffer and to be happy is to experience no suffering. Everyone is equally important. No one is more important than anyone else. Everyone matters equally to everyone. We all matter. We answer the phone to everyone. Award: 6 points - BRONZE
