I took my multi-vitamin pills. I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant and body spray. I emptied the bins in the room into the kitchen bin. I emptied the kitchen bin and recycling bin into the big bins outside. I emptied the large outdoor black bin and half the large outdoor recycling bin and disposed of the waste in the recycling centre. I cleaned the bathroom and mopped the floor. I hoovered my room. I prepared breakfast and ate breakfast. I washed the dishes after breakfast. I prepared lunch and ate lunch. I washed the dishes after lunch. I ate an orange and a pear as my daily fruit intake. I watered the plants in both gardens. Comments Today I will focus on right speech, which in Buddhism, is the third practice of the noble eightfold path to end suffering. Right Speech (Samma Vaca) is speaking truthfully, avoiding gossip, harsh words, and idle chatter. Examples of wrong speech is sharing info about others that is unkind or untrue, speaking negatively about a person who is not present, arguing with someone or teasing someone, focusing on the negative aspects of life and expressing dissatisfaction, distorting the truth or creating a false impression, using harmful words like cursing the other person or describing the other person using a harsh swear word or using swear words, talking for the sake of talking without any purpose or depth and involving oneself in casual conversations where it is hard to understand the point of the conversation and where the conversation is going. Speech are thoughts spoken out loud. The right thoughts lead to the right behaviour. How to have the right thoughts? First thought that you should have proceeding all other thoughts is 'I will not harm any living being'. When you see an insect, think, 'I will not harm any living being' and don't harm the insect you see. When you see a human being, think, 'I will not harm any living being' then think of how to be kind to the human being.

I made my bed for attractive bed. I brushed my teeth for clean breath and clean teeth. I washed my face for clean clear skin. I had a shower for clean skin. I oiled my body for moisturised skin. I put on deodorant and body spray for great smelling skin. I cleaned the bathroom. I emptied the bins so that they don't overflow. I watered the flowers in the gardens so that they can start growing beautiful flowers. I drank two table spoons of extra virgin olive oil. The benefits are as follows: Drinking extra virgin olive oil supports healthier hair and skin due to its rich antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as its hydrating and emollient qualities. These benefits are primarily attributed to compounds like oleocanthal, vitamin E, and squalene, which help reduce inflammation, moisturize skin, and improves skin elasticity. Here's a more detailed look at the potential benefits: Hair: Boosted Hair Growth: Olive oil's antioxidants, including oleocanthal, have anti-inflammatory effects that can help reduce inflammation-related hair loss, potentially leading to healthier hair growth. Moisturization and Shine: Olive oil can help to moisturize and nourish hair, potentially improving its shine and manageability. Skin: Moisturization: Olive oil's natural emollient properties can help hydrate and soften skin, making it particularly beneficial for dry or compromised skin. Anti-inflammatory and Antioxidant Effects: Oleocanthal in olive oil can help soothe inflammation, which may be beneficial for conditions like eczema, rosacea, and acne. Vitamin E and other antioxidants can protect skin from damage caused by free radicals. Improved Skin Elasticity: Squalene in olive oil helps stimulate collagen production, potentially improving skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Wound Healing: Olive oil's anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties can contribute to wound healing. Protection from UV Damage: Olive oil's antioxidant properties can help protect skin from the oxidizing effects of sunlight. I had lunch. I washed the dishes after lunch. What I have learnt from Buddha's teachings Today, I wish to reflect on the second practice of the noble eightfold path which is Right Thought. Right thought is nurturing positive and healthy thoughts, free from greed, hatred, and delusion. Right thoughts are not saying that I hate other people. Instead of hating people, try saying that I love other people and that I will be kind to other people instead. Then think of ways to be kind and loving to the people, you thought you hated. I will take more of anything when I am already feeling satisfied, e.g., thinking of overeating food and overdrinking drinks I believe something that is not true and that I have no supporting evidence for and then thinking of acting on the thoughts. For example, thinking that someone is guilty of hurting you without any evidence. Even if they are guilty, right thoughts are not hating them for hurting you but loving them and being kind and loving to them instead. You are more beautiful when you are kind and loving to those who hurt you in the past.

I watched Gethsemane Hour as part of my 90 days prayer guide. I took my multi-vitamin tablets I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant and body spray. I emptied the bins. I hoovered the floor of my room. I cleaned the bathroom. I watered the plants in the gardens. I prepared lunch. I washed the dishes after lunch. I prayed the Divine Mercy chaplet at around 3 pm this afternoon. Reflections on Buddha's teachings Suffering ends by following the noble eightfold path. There are eight practices that lead to the liberation from suffering. Today we will focus on the first practice, namely, Right Understanding. It's about seeing things as they truly are, having the right understanding of reality and not being ignorant or misconceived.
- Help your friends when they ask for help
It is hard to say no when a friend asks you for help. It is wrong to say no. Help your friend. Everyone is your friend. Help anyone who needs help. That is a good Samaritan helping the man left wounded on the street after being beaten up or a rich man giving all he has to help the poor survive. Both scenarios leads you to heaven because you are at peace with yourself. You have helped. Ask and you will receive. Knock and and the door will be opened to you. Seek and you will find. Always give to people what people ask you for. It makes them happy to receive what they asked for. It is also polite to give to people who ask you for things and it is also good will too. When someone knocks on the door or rings the bell, open the door. It makes the person outside happy that you opened the door to them. 😊 Look for whatever you are looking for and you will find it. Don't give up. Keep looking for it. You might even find an exact copy of what you have lost.

- Saturday, 26th April 2025 - What kind deeds did I do today to make others happy
I cleaned the bathroom. I emptied the bins and changed the bin liners. I watered the plants. Comments When people are horrible towards you, don't cry. Don't get angry. Don't feel bad. Instead love the person being mean to you. Think words like 'they are amazing people. They are excellent people. I am an amazing excellent person' and think that a person's lies about you can ever stop you feeling good about yourself. Have a really high self-esteem forever. Love yourself and put yourself first so that no one can hurt you. By doing this, you are being kind to yourself.

I sent £10 in naira to an in-law relative to wish him happy birthday for tomorrow. I bought a gift and card online for my relative who recently gave birth to a baby boy. I am visiting her with the gift and card this weekend to congratulate her on her new arrival. I look forward to meeting the new arrival. I bought some fruits to share with my housemates and I left them on the dining table in the living room for my housemates to help themselves and I offered the fruit to all my housemates too. Yum yum. I emptied the bins in the room into the kitchen bin. I emptied the recycling bin and kitchen bin into the big bins outside. I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I had a shower. I oiled my body. I put on deodorant. I ate ruits. I took my multi-vitamins I transferred £20 to a friend's account for him to buy vegan food to cook tonight. Bon Appetit! Sweet friend ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ I moved a moth who was not moving on the bath to the kitchen downstairs to munch on food as much as he likes. He flew off my hand once I entered the kitchen. I bet he is a hungry guy! My reflections on Buddha's teachings Buddha taught us not to harm any living beings. He included tiny animals like ladybirds, ants, cockroaches etc., big animals like elephants and kangaroos and human beings. So without harming anyone, we can help end killing by each day concentrating on not killing anyone. So we need to take it one day at a time. Focus on today and meditate on 'I am not going to kill anyone today'. Focus on this throughout the day. Focus also on not harming anyone. Lying to someone harms them so tell people the truth. Shouting at people harm them so don't shout at people. Don't do anything to people that will harm them by making them sad. Meditate on not harming anyone today. The moment a kind thought comes to you to do something kind to someone else, do the kind action to the other person. Don't hesitate to do it or let negative thoughts stop you from doing it. Always say yes to kind impulsive actions.
- What is a friend?
Someone who cares about you and tries not to hurt your fragile feelings but tries to be kind to you even when believing that you have done something horrible to them in the past. A friend does not hang on to the past or future you but loves you now and accepts that you are real now and that you feel mental and physical pain and tries not to inflict mental or physical pain on you. In the present moment, a friend does not harm you and a friend is kind to you. Everyone you meet in the present moment can be a friend if you are kind to them and you don't harm them in the present moment. The past does not matter and the promises for the future does not matter. What matters is how you treat people and animals now. Treat everyone kindly and make everyone a friend.
- Karma - good karma and bad karma and how to improve your karma (Monday, 5th May 2025)
Karmically, life picks on you when you harm any living being namely, humans and animals. Life creates mean characters to bully you that no one can see and who no one except you can hear. Whatever you do, don't kill or harm in any way a human or animal otherwise you will hear the negative cruel torturous voices of people you know created by life bullying you. You will feel invisible people trying to harm you too. You will have nightmares when you go to sleep. You will see humans and animals fizzle in and out of existence. You will feel sick. You will look ugly and people will be cold to you because of how awful you look. People will treat you unfairly and bully you in real life too. This is one of the realms of hell in Buddhism. To move karmically away from hell, do kind deeds. The more kind deeds you do, the more you are rewarded karmically by nice things happening to you. You will see a more beautiful world, your face and body will look more beautiful; you will feel more motivated to get up in the morning and to do kind deeds during the day, and you will have more to be grateful for e.g. having good possessions and having more people being nice to you. Say, you find you are limited by the kind deeds that you can do. For example, you have been stopped from feeding the pigeons, or you are locked up against your will or you can't get a paid job or voluntary job and all you want to do are kind deeds. Then think of how to be kind to anyone you see in your room or anywhere you go. The kinder you are to these people, the greater the improvement in karma for you. If you have killed someone, you are in hell on earth and after death you are reincarnated to live in hell maybe forever if you don't do enough kind deeds to get out of hell by being kind, loving, generous and wise instead of ignorant, hateful and greedy. Since humans and animals are all people, you have to be kind by showing loving-kindness to all living beings. Every time you are a Buddhist, you don't harm anyone or kill anyone. You are always kind when you are a Buddhist. Always think of nice kind people such as saints and Buddhas and you will be kind. This helps a lot when you are feeling angry. Anger leads to killing or killer thoughts so whenever you are angry with someone or some people, change your feelings to loving-kindness and think, 'I am a Buddhist' and you will instantly become nicer and lose your anger. Also read some blog posts in My Kind Deeds Blog for inspiration on how to be kind instead of angry. Animals are like human beings. Be kind to them and they love it.

I made my bed. I brushed my teeth. I washed my face. I put on deodorant. I emptied the bins in the rooms into the kitchen bin. I had breakfast. I washed the dishes after breakfast. I bought some snacks and lunch. I had lunch. I emptied the recycling bin into the main recycling bin outside. I watered the flowers in the back garden and front garden. I cleaned the bathroom. I fed the pigeons today. I unblocked all my friends on WhatsApp. Friends are good. Anyone can be a friend. Reflecting on Buddha's Teachings Buddha taught us not to seek revenge on someone who has harmed us but to forgive the person regardless of how many times they have harmed us in the past. We must not deal out negative karma because karmic reactions are controlled by the universe rewarding or punishing us for the actions we did in the past not by us humans revenging past actions or rewarding past actions of others. So we just need to concentrate on being kind not on vengeance and punishment. For example, a positive karmic reaction to a good action in the past would be to be beautiful in the future, to attract a good job, to attract friendly friends, to attract a nice house to live in, to live in a nice attractive tidy comfortable house, to be healthy and to have fun enjoyable past times. The universe rewards us for good actions and the universe punishes us for bad actions.
